From as early as I can remember the world of art and fashion has always been a constant source of enjoyment and escapism. This in turn led me to complete a number of fashion-based courses including a BA Hons in Fashion Promotion. On completion of my degree I found myself being drawn into the world of millinery and to further this interest I have taken part in a variety of evening courses, where my love for hats and headpieces grew.
I have now worked with a number of highly established milliners who taught me the technical and traditional craft of Millinery and thus have/is allowing me to pursue my own designs.
All my headpieces are individually designed and handmade, my inspiration comes from a plethora of sources ranging from the glamour of Hollywood past, current exhibitions, events of all kinds and the London theatre scene. I personally enjoy musical productions, ballet performances and operatic shows, as they are often full of all the colour and sparkle which I find uplifting, refreshing and inspiring. To that end, these points of reference are absorbed into my creative thinking process which I reinterpret into my own contemporary style.
Black And Gold is the first of my collections to be showcased within a gallery space.
